The Southbury Public Library
   
  • The Southbury Library has 11 public computers in the adult Reference Department with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher) and internet access. Computer access is free and available to all Connecticut residents with a valid library card. Out-of-state patrons may ask for a guest pass.
  •  Black and white printer is available with the purchase of a print card. Print cards are available at the main circulation desk for $1, $2 or $5 at .10 cents per page.
  • Wireless Internet access is also available for patrons with their own laptops. Wireless printing is not available.
  • Free scanning service is available. A reference librarian will scan items for patrons, but a flash drive needs to be provided to save their scanned documents to.
The Southbury Library offers weekly computer help suitable to all level of skills.

  • New User Tutorial - this tutorial has been designed to help people who have never used a computer before.
  • Mousing Around - this session shall help you navigate the computer mouse through a series of lessons.
  • Mouserobics - another mouse tutorial to get you more comfortable moving around with a mouse.
