 rs -- turn Victor Hugo’s epic 1200-page novel into one of the most popul
 ar musicals of all time? And who guided the show to international success?
  John Kenrick returns to tell us the fascinating story of how Les Miz sang
  its way to acclaim all around the world, as well as a successful film ver
 sion.\r\nEntertainment historian John Kenrick has worked in the theatre 
 at every level from amateur to Broadway, eventually serving as personal as
 sistant to six Tony Award winning producers, including the team behind the
  original production of Rent. He has taught musical theatre history cours
 es at New York University’s Steinhardt School, The New School University
 , and Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. John’s books include Mus
 ical Theatre: A History, and he is featured in The Cambridge Companion to
  Operetta. He is one of the curators for the new Museum of Broadway, set t
 o open in late 2022. He is also the creator of the educational website Mus
 icals101.com. One of John’s students put it this way: “He didn’t jus
 t make me laugh – he made me care.”\r\nLike all Southbury Public Libra
