DESCRIPTION:Not all plants are good for our environment. Explore how invas
 ive plant species damage our ecosystem and how we can lessen their impact.
  Join us as we learn about the benefits of planting native plants and wher
 e to find them, how to plant them, and when to do so.\r\nAllison Middlemas
 s is a naturalist, environmental educator, and artist. She grew up in natu
 re and a wildlife-loving family who cultivated her passion for wildlife co
 nservation from a young age. She works as the Senior Coordinator of Commun
 ity Conservation Programs at the Bent of the River Audubon Center in South
 bury CT. Her role includes being an educator for the center as well as bui
 lding partnerships with communities in underserved urban areas like Waterb
 ury.\r\nLike all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to 
 attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is
