 t Broadway show in 1974. Join us as he shares some of his favorite showsto
 ppers and personal memories from half a century in the audience and behind
  the scenes. Included are some rare videos - including footage of John ful
 filling a childhood dream by asking Carol Burnett a question from the audi
 ence.Entertainment historian John Kenrick has worked in the theatre at eve
 ry level from amateur to Broadway, eventually serving as personal assistan
 t to six Tony Award winning producers, including the team behind the origi
 nal production of Rent. He has taught musical theatre history courses at N
 ew York University’s Steinhardt School, The New School University, and P
 hiladelphia’s University of the Arts.Like all Southbury Public Library p
 rograms, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of tow
