If you want to watch the program from home, register  here. Although Leonardo da Vinci may be most famous for his art masterpi eces like “Mona Lisa,” he actually spent more time working on his scie ntific and technological studies. His remarkable sketchbooks have provided copious evidence that da Vinci envisioned many inventions long before the technology to create them existed.   A true visionary and one of the mos t prolific inventors in history, Leonardo da Vinci created inventions and innovations that are taken for granted today.  Whether designing flying m achines or weapons of war, da Vinci the inventor and artist was always wil ling to “think outside the box” and "dream big.” Led by Dr. Bi ll Thierfelder, a retired college professor who taught a variety of Arts a nd Humanities courses for 32 years at several New York universities and co lleges, including St. John's University and Dowling College. He holds a Ph.D. in English, with minors in theater, art history and music history .Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
