Event Details
Join Food Explorers for a special holiday themed baking workshop, featuring Lattice Pies & Butterscotch Trifles! You’ll learn how to make your own chocolate pie crust (from scratch) and create your own lattice cover for your pie, while also making your layered butterscotch trifles.
Space is limited and registration is required.
These recipes are nut free but do contain eggs, dairy, and gluten.
Like all our teen events, this program is free, open to residents of any town in the right grades, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons. A UConn graduate and Registered Dietician, Katie took the plunge to create Food Explorers because she knew she wanted to work with kids and teens. Find out more about Food Explorers on their website, Instagram, or Facebook page.
