Museum Passes

Even though many museums, zoos, and parks are closed, we encourage you to visit their websites and enjoy their digital offerings.

The following museum passes are currently unavailable for circulation due to museum closings/restrictions: Discovery Museum, Imagine Nation Museum, Mark Twain House & Museum, Mystic Aquarium, New Haven Museum, Peabody Museum, and Stepping Stones Museum. The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is reopening on March 11, 2021, the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center is reopening on April 8, 2021 and the Beardsley Zoo will begin honoring library passes again on April 10, 2021. The Wadsworth Atheneum is currently offering free admission through February 2021; no pass is needed. Please contact individual institutions prior to your visit for current updates.

Museum Passes are for Southbury residents and can be checked out for three (3) days. They are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved. All passes are graciously donated by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. A late fee of $2.00/day is charged.
