100 Poverty Road Reopened
The main library building at 100 Poverty Road reopened on September 2, 2025 with all regular library services having resumed there.
We are very grateful to everyone we worked with at Heritage Hotel for making us feel so welcomed, and to the support of our patrons.
Reopening at 100 Poverty Road is in many ways thanks to our colleagues from other town departments, including Public Works (especially Indoor Properties), IT, the Finance Department, the Fire Marshal, Emergency Management, the Building Office, and everyone in the First Selectman's office. Over the year we were closed, Parks & Recreation and the Senior Center also very generously shared space with us so we could continue to have in-person events. Prior to moving into our temporary location at the Heritage Hotel, multiple town departments shifted their spaces and workflow to welcome us into Town Hall and several of our staff members also got to work more with the Town Clerk and Registrars of Voters. Throughout our closure, we were also very touched by the support we received from our patrons, other community members, and our neighboring libraries.
We are very excited to be back home!
