Adult Weekly Shelving Volunteers
Our adult shelving volunteers assist with shelving books and other materials in the Adult Department on the First Floor. They commit to coming in at the same time every week for a long term period of time. Physically, shelving volunteers are on their feet most of the time the are here and frequently bend and stoop.
If you cannot commit to being a long term Adult Shelving Volunteer but are interested in volunteering to help the library, the Friends of the Southbury Public Library often have volunteer opportunities that are shorter commitments (such as helping at one of their book sales).
Adult Shelving Volunteer Applicants must be 18 and older; opportunities for Young Adult Volunteers can be found here. After adult applicants fill out the form, they will be contacted by the Head Librarian for an interview.
