20 Years at 100 Poverty Road

Join us for the Library's 20th Birthday Party!

Throughout May:

Through the Years Photo Slideshow: In the Brown Room, we'll have a rotating slideshow of photos from throughout the library's past, from the 70s through 2025.

Historic Photo Albums: These scrapbooks chronicle events and more from the library from the 1970s to the 1990s and will be available to view on top of the Oversize shelves on the first floor (near the public computers and Reference desk)

Birthday Cards: Wish the Library a happy birthday! We'll have card making stations on the first and second floors.

May 16: Southbury Library History & Memories

1-2:30pm in the Kingsley Room: Come listen to the history of the library from 1776 to today, and bring your own stories and memories of the Southbury Library! Melinda Elliott, President of the Southbury Historical Society will give a brief talk about the history of the library in all its forms, and then audience members can share their own stories and memories of the Southbury Library.
