Event Details

Join us for a family science afternoon with the Connecticut Science Center!

1-1:45pm: Extreme Air Show: See the amazing power of air as we make objects hover in mid-air, break a board using only a ping pong ball, and explore the effects of the pressure that surrounds us. You’ll be blown away by our extreme air finale!

2-3pm: Hands on Activity Stations: After the show, explore hands on stations with Connecticut Science Center Educators to explore different scientific principles!

During the gap between the Extreme Air Show and Activity Stations or while you are waiting for an Activity Station to become available, stop by the Brown Room to browse some fun science books and register for Summer Reading if you haven't already!

When registering, please register for each individual who will be attending. This event is aimed at Grades 3-8 and their family members; older tweens and teens may attend individually if they would like. Family members younger than third grade are welcome to join as long as they don't mind sitting through the presentation. Older family members are invited to join us, too!

About our presenter: The Connecticut Science Center is dedicated to inspiring lifelong learning through interactive and innovative experiences that explore our changing world through science. We strive to create an engaging and sustainable science center that serves families and schools and significantly impacts student and adult learning in Connecticut. We seek to develop the minds of future thinkers and inventors who will compete in the ever-expanding global marketplace for technology and innovation. And we endeavor to create a Connecticut workforce that meets the projected growth of jobs in science-related fields.
