Join S.M.A.R.T.  for  an open opportunity to explore diverse resources, chat with passionate & like-minded individuals, and share feedback & insights for areas of community connection & enrichment.  An Overdose Prevention training will be offered in one part of the Brown room beginning at 1:30pm~ any community member is welcome to join and learn how to save a life using the Naloxone overdose reversal kit. Participants will gain the knowledge & confidence to recognize the signs & symptoms of opioid overdose, administer Narcan, and identify support resources to help keep our communities safer.

This program is hosted by SMART, Inc. [Southbury & Middlebury Acting Responsibly Together], a local non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the lives of individuals, families, and communities by making the towns healthier and safer for young people by preventing youth substance abuse and promoting positive decision making. SMART is the Local Prevention Council for the two towns and creates and implements ongoing mental health support and substance use prevention measures & education to keep the members of the communities safe and informed.
