Food Explorers S'Mores Pie
Program Type:Cooking Classes
What's better than s'mores? S'mores in pie form! Join us as the registered dieticians from Food Explorers show us how to make our very own S'Mores Pies! Create your own graham cracker crust, a delicious chocolate filling and create a design with mini marshmallows on top.
This recipe will be nut free but will contain dairy and gluten. Each teen will make their own portion, with minimal of ingredients or equipment.
Like all our teen events, this program is totally free, open to residents of any town in Grades 6-12, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons. A UConn graduate, Katie took the plunge to create Food Explorers because she knew she wanted to work with kids and teens. All Food Explorers instructors are Registered Dieticians who are passionate about providing kids and teens with knowledge about health and nutrition, empowering them to make their own healthy choices.
