Program Description

Event Details

Join us for Marc Berger and his unique musical interpretation of the American West.

Marc's life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating, recording and performing his original songs and exploring the American West. He’s performed at Austin's SXSW Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival and opened for Bob Dylan and other national acts and his antinuclear anthem The Last One was a staple of Richie Havens' concerts. Marc’s critically acclaimed album, RIDE, a collection of songs all having to do with the romance of the West has received national airplay and been licensed by STARBUCKS for worldwide in-store airplay. At this special concert, Marc, joined by mandolin wizard Rob Meador, will perform songs from RIDE and Marc will share some unforgettable stories of his experiences as an easterner in remote parts of the mountain and desert West.

Marc is a nationally touring artist based out of central NY. He has performed at Austin’s South X Southwest Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival, and opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts. His current release, RIDE (a collection of songs all having to do with the romance of the American West), has received national airplay and critical acclaim and Starbucks has licensed the album for worldwide in-store airplay. You can hear tracks, watch video, get the backstory, etc. by visiting his website: http://www.marcbergermusic.com/
