Program Description

Event Details

Create a portrait of your family pet with watercolor artist Nancy Roman! No experience necessary. All materials will be provided - paint, paper, brushes, etc.

You will need a 5” x 7” photo of your pet. A color copy is just fine. Because of the technique we will use to draw the pet, your photo needs to be 5x7. If you have a picture but you don’t have that size or still need to print it, email it to Teen Librarian Eli at ekelly@biblio.org in advance of the program. A close-up of your pet’s face is best, but you can also use a full-length picture. Either will work.

If you’d like to attend, but don’t have a pet or picture, that’s okay! Nancy will also have several pictures of pets you can pick from.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library and is a part of our 2023 Teen Summer Reading Program: Find Your Voice. Find out more about our summer reading program here! test
