Come celebrate the poetry of Southbury's Inaugural Poet Laureate Faith Vicinanza as she completes her term as the town's poet laureate.  The event will include a poet open mic and a Q&A with the poet.

Faith Vicinanza is a published poet and visual artist who has resided in Southbury since 2016. Ms. Vicinanza has published  4 books of poetry, with 3 more on the way. She was the host of the longest weekly poetry reading in state history. She also  created and directed a five day National Poetry Championship in Middletown in 1997 and the Connecticut Poetry Festival that same year. She was also a nominee for State Poet Laureate in 2000.
