Program Description

Event Details

Create your own plant hanger or wall art! If you have ideas for what you’d like to make, please bring them! We'll also learn about the history of macramé, how macramé is used throughout the world, and how we can create art with cord.

Space is limited and registration is required.

Like all our teen events, this program is totally free to attend, open to anyone in Grades 6-12, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. This event is also part of our 2024 Summer Reading Program: Read, Renew, Repeat.

About our presenter: Vanessa Fasanella is a crafter, jewelry designer, and instructor who has been leading craft and other hands-on workshops at Connecticut libraries since 2012.
