Have you published a poem or short story or news article and you want more of that experience of seeing your creative efforts in print?  Are you looking to get our first piece published?  Are you considering putting together a small collection of your writings?  Bring your questions about where to submit, how to submit, self-publishing, cover letters, formatting submissions, contests or never a contest, staying organized, how to have your work critiqued.

Faith Vicinanza is a published poet and visual artist who has resided in Southbury since 2016. Ms. Vicinanza has published  4 books of poetry, with 3 more on the way. She was the host of the longest weekly poetry reading in state history. She also  created and directed a five day National Poetry Championship in Middletown in 1997 and the Connecticut Poetry Festival that same year. She was also a nominee for State Poet Laureate in 2000.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.  Registration is required.
