This musical performance by Alyce Cognetta Bertz was our first in-person concert since the beginning of the pandemic. A skilled and talented violinist, Alyce has performed in the Brinker Fireplace Room at the library several times.

Alyce Cognetta Bertz is the Concertmaster of the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. She studied violin with Syoko Aki of the Yale School of Music and with Charles Tregor of the Hartt School of Music.

She was accompanied by her sister, pianist Meg Cognetta Heaton is active in the Finger Lakes region of New York, accompanying choral groups, Suzuki classes and soloists.
