Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering from 12:30-3:30pm on Saturday, May 18 to help us with our Family Giant Board Games Event. This event will be a part of our Spring Open House. We are looking for volunteers who are in Grades 6-12.

For our Family Giant Board Games event, we will have several giant board games (Checkers, Sorry, Candy Land, Yahtzee, Connect 4, Jenga). You would help us run it, by helping families get set up with their games and keeping things running smoothly. You will be working with our Children's Librarian Jen Kistner and with up to five other teen volunteers. In addition to helping run the games, we may also ask you to help us set up and/or take down tables and chairs in the program room we will be in.

Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothing you are comfortable moving around and bending over in.

Volunteer Hour Forms:

  • For paper forms, please bring any forms you need signed with you.
  • For virtual forms, please use the Southbury Public Library's Teen Librarian, Eli Kelly, as your verification person. Email: ekelly@biblio.org

This form closes when we receive 6 sign ups, after which a waitlist form will be made available. If at any point after registration you realize you cannot attend, please email our Teen Librarian Eli at ekelly@biblio.org so we can open a volunteering spot for someone else.

We will email you at the address you provide to confirm that you are still coming and to give more instructions about where to go and who to ask for when you get to the library.
