DVD Fines Return January 2022

DVDs, Museum/Park Passes, and Kindles that are checked out beginning on Sunday, January 2, 2022 will accrue late fines if they are overdue ($1/day for movies and $2/day for Museum Passes and Kindles; no renewals for either). Fines accrued on Southbury Library items between March 2020-December 2021 will still be forgiven (as will fines from any extenuating circumstances). We still won't charge fines on books, audiobooks, or CDs that are overdue but encourage you to renew these if you are keeping past their due dates.

Southbury Remembers: 9/11 Twenty Years Later

9/11 was a monumental day in American History.  As the 20th anniversary is upon us we wanted the Southbury Community to share their remembrances of where they were on 9/11.  

Join us as we remember 9/11.  Share your memories of that day to be compiled for the 20th anniversary of 9/11.  You can fill the form out online through a Google form, or pick up a form in person to fill out and return.

COVID Reopening Updates

We have returned to our regular hours and regular lending periods for all materials and fines have been reinstated for DVDs and museum passes. We still offer a curbside pickup option for those unable to enter the building or uncomfortable doing so. Hand sanitizer is available at circulation desks and other popular locations. The Friends of the Library's first floor coffee station, first floor puzzle, and second floor Kindles and games remain unavailable.
